At the tender age of 18, The art of plating pulled Chef Ronald Li into the culinary world as he first stepped into a restaurant kitchen as a part-time pastry chef at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. Having a keen eye for cooking and his passion for food, Chef Ronald returned again to Four Seasons Hotel’s One-Ninety restaurant in 2007. A rising talent, Chef Ronald was promoted 3 times within a short span of three and a half years. He then moved on to join French restaurant Brasserie Wolf and was soon promoted to Junior Sous Chef within a year.
Setting out to arm himself with a culinary certificate, Chef Ronald pursued the intensive culinary programme at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Chef Ronald returned to join Restaurant Andre in 2012, where he further honed his plating and cooking skills. In 2013, he moved on to KU DE TA (now known as CÉ LA VI Singapore) and was promoted to Sous Chef within a year.
Chef Ronald then joined Salt tapas & bar as Executive Chef. For two years, Chef Ronald managed a team of 12 and was key in the restaurant establishment.
Currently Head Chef at Viio Gastropub, Chef Ronald is spearheading a truly chef-driven upscale dining experience at the heart of Singapore with his unique approach to flavours and dish development.
